These gentle walks through the Old Wood in Skellingthorpe are designed to be accessible and achievable, ensuring that everyone can participate fully.
During the session, you will discover how to harness the health benefits of spending time in nature, learn about the natural world, and explore the five “ways to wellbeing” as outlined by the NHS: connect, be active, take notice, learn, and give. These inclusive sessions combine individual and group experiences for a gentle supportive atmosphere.
Enjoy gentle walks among beautiful trees and be guided through a series of sensory exercises aimed at deepening their connection with nature, calming both body and mind.
Many participants have reported significant benefits for both physical and mental wellbeing, including lower stress hormone levels, increased happiness, enhanced creativity, reduced heart rate and blood pressure, improved immune function, and quicker recovery from illnesses.
