3 sessions from Sat 31 May 2025 [Show]
As summer approaches, we'll be focusing on woodland management, sustainable building, and traditional coppice craft activities in Strunch Hill, an ancient woodland on the Doddington Hall Estate that's at least 500 years old and home to the beautiful English bluebell.
People join our woodland volunteering for various reasons, including seeking solace after redundancy or bereavement, to contibute to mental health and wellbeing or wanting to care for greenspaces during retirement. We tailor our sessions to meet individual needs, using woodland management to enhance resilience and self-confidence, and help improve your mental health.
You'll learn how to care for the woodland throughout the seasons, maximise its resources, and participate in all phases of sustainable woodland construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, connect with others, and enjoy the natural environment.
