We are branching out to Doddington Hall! We are very excited to be moving with Land and Leaf Collective to Strunch Hill Wood on the Doddington Estate.
The Wilder Doddington project reconnects nature, landscape and people.
"We have embarked on an ambitious 100-year project to bring more nature back to the Doddington Estate, and help people discover, learn and love the natural world.
The Wilder Doddington project formally started on 5 June 2021, with a bold and exciting plan to turn our intensively farmed arable fields, our heavily grazed grassland and our woodland into a haven for nature. To start the process we are allowing the land to breathe, rest and recover, and allowing natural regeneration of the vegetation to occur. To give a helpful nudge to some processes we are adding ponds and wetlands, and putting back missing keystone species like wild ponies and pigs. Already our soils are improving, and the vegetation, insect, bird and animal life is beginning to thrive.

Old Wood Organic CIC will support Land and Leaf Collective forest school by taking care of the woodland. We are inviting volunteers to join us as we create pathways and clearings. Work will involve clearing brambles, moving fallen deadwood, laying woodchip and creating natural barriers using materials cleared form the site.
You are welocme to join us for a one off session or to join the volunteer woodland management team. Please book in to any session you are able to join so we know who to expect on the day.
Doddington Hall has complimentary parking opposite the Hall in the main car park, farm shop car park and near the Grain Store Cafe, we will be meeting outside the Grain Store Cafe, where you will be able to buy refreshments before the sesison commences.
