This Valentine themed family nature walk is designed to help the whole family out into nature and learn about the natural world. Family groups will be guided by a knowledgeable forest school leader on a short walk to explore the natural world and will be taken to Old Wood Organic Farm where there will be a warm camp fire, refreshments and fun nature-based activities. One ticket is for two adults and up to five children.
Clothing requirements
Please ensure that you and your child/ren are dressed appropriately for the weather. Forest School will take place in all weathers excepting high winds or storms. If children are dressed inappropriately they will not be able to enjoy the session and fully experience the sessions.
*Cold weather - loose thin layers that can trap warmth. Warm boots, hats, gloves and thick outer layer.
*Wet weather - waterproof boots and outer layer. Hat and gloves.
*Hot weather - thin clothes with arms and legs covered if possible i.e. leggings and t-shirt (to protect from scratches etc. Sunhat.
Schedule
11 am: Families are met at the community centre car park by the forest school leader and walked through the woodland to Old Wood Orgnaic Farm.
11.30am: Arrive at Old Wood Organic Farm, where children are free to take part in free nature based activites or they are welcome to play with new friends in the woodland.
12pm: Refreshments provided *Donation
1pm: Families will be walked from the wood by the Forest School leaders and brought to the community centre car park by the forest school leader.
All donations help support the local community with free natural based activities for mental health.
