Lincoln residents are welcome to join the Old Wood Organic community to reflect on the meaning of the Touching Tree's Installation and inform its curation and design amongst the tree’s of our ancient woodland. Together we will explore different versions of the way spaces can be designed using our personal stories about relationships with trees. Participants will be encouraged to think about the natural space around them, a space that puts emphasis on the importance of relating to and with the natural world. There will be tree planting, guest speakers from Wildlife Trust and Natural England and recorded interviews on participant personal relationships to tree's feeding into a documentary for climate action.
This workshop is fully funded and free for mental health and wellbeing. The workshop focuses on human-nature relationship. It studies how people think and feel about nature and their relationship with it. We have found that by developing a relationship with the natural world supports physical and mental ill health recovery.
